Along with his partner Alex “Sandy” Wihtol, Richard is a key member of the Wihtol Group. His personal expertise is in market research, online marketing, and sales. Despite his age, Richard always has a quiet, yet thourough understanding of the current market.

As a Los Altos native and St. Francis High School Alumni, Richard has a intricate understanding of the Los Altos and Los Altos Hills markets - only a longtime local resident will be aware of the long-term trends, market values, local sentiment and desirability of each specific neighborhood and home. He is fortunate to have built many strong connections in the community through school and local sports.

With a keen interest in human psychology at UCSB, Richard developed an intuitive feel for desires and preferences of the modern-day buyer. He is always working and researching to remain on the cutting edge of Real Estate advertising and media trends, especially in the fast-paced and ever-changing Silicon Valley. He is in charge of web design, advertising, and direct marketing for the Wihtol Group.

In addition to Sandy, Richard also has a professional baseball background, playing two seasons in the Cincinnati Reds Farm Organization. Richard knows what it takes to be successful in a competitive environment day-in and day-out, and he brings an athlete’s tenacity, perseverance, and endurance to the negotiating table.

In his free time, Richard likes to play golf, attempt tennis, lift weights, coach baseball, play poker, guitar, read, and write.

Earlier in his career, Richard has worked for ESEA, a defense company based in Los Altos, as well as a pitching and mental game assistant for St. Francis HS, Los Altos HS, Palo Alto HS, De Anza College, The Menlo Park Legends, and CCB Elite Baseball Club.

He still gives pitching lessons to aspiring young ballplayers in an effort to give back to the game and the coaches that made him who he was.

Richard loves selling real estate and nothing makes him happier than his sellers getting a big check and bigger smile or his buyers getting the home of their dreams.
